Von Apple gibt es einen neuen Patentantrag. Das Patent soll temporäre und sich selbst installierende Apps schützen. Diese Apps können sich je nach Aufenthaltsort des Benutzers automatisch auf seinem Smartphone installieren und sich wieder löschen, wenn er den entsprechenden Ort verlässt. Dieses könnte z.B. eine Speisekarten-App sein, die sich beim Betreten des Restaurants lädt und sobald der User dieses verlässt, selbst wieder löscht.
Die Beschreibung des Patent-Antrages liest sich dann so:
Systems, methods, and computer program products communicate location information associated with a device, such as a mobile device, to a server. Content identified by the server is received at the device, from the server and/or from a content service. The content can include an application associated with the location information. The content received at the device is displayed on the device only while the device is at or near a particular location identified by the location information.
